Pope Dillon is coming back on Saturday. I am sure he has been missing Charlie while he is away and France and I think that all of us should make sure to welcome him home. Charlie would be sure to appreciate this as well, since Dillon is a big part of his life. Peace, Love, and Charlie.

For those who seek redemption, Charlie is who they must turn to.

His sickness gives me faith... [19 Jul 2004|10:27am]

Charlie faced death again, and laughed in its face.

His body will not descend into heaven until all of His followers have accepted His devine paw
-Recycle Bin 10:18

This proverb shows that He will most definetly live forever. Even though everyone has a lil' love for Him in their hearts, not all of them will put His paw in their mouth. And until all of his deeds are done, He will remain on this planet.

Peace, Love, and Charlie

New Pope!! [26 Jun 2004|12:12am]

Charlie would like to congratulate asian_astronaut on her ascendence into pope-dome.

May all your glories be glorious, may all your gifts serve me in the aid of attaining the pot of orange pieces in kibble 'n bits at the end of the rainbow.

There haven't been very many posts lately. I think we all need to remember who we are living for, and that is Charlie. When you read this, take a few minutes and think of all the things in your life you have that you can thank Charlie for.

Remember He is always looking over you, through thick and thin, sickness and in health.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE SHAW! [01 Jun 2004|02:09pm]

You are getting to be so old Charlie. To think that I knew you when you were 9 years old, since I did meet you 3 glorious years ago. You have brougth so much joy and happiness into my life, even when I wasn't the strongest of believers, if a believer at all. You are always looking out for me Charlie, and for that, I wish you the happiest of all birthdays! Good luck being 12, big guy!

One of my favorites is: ...And He made those who did not recognize their dreams inside their reality see truth. No longer
would they walk aimlessly through life.

-Pronouns 9:18

I also love: He lifted the lost souls high into the sky. He soared with them, and washed their pain away with his tears.

What to say about Charlie. There are so many different levels of his greatness, that it's hard to talk about just one. When I first met Charlie, I must admit, I didn't take a strong liking to him. Then, life went on, and I hadn't heard, seen, or thought of him. Just this afternoon though, I saw an enlightening picture of Charlie. I thought to myself, "Could I have been any more wrong about Charlie?" I stared into his old, thoughtful eyes, and it hit me. Charlie is not just a simple dog, he is an omen of resiliance, love, and the will to live. I know of no other creatures that could endure all that Charlie has gone through. He made me realize how important life was. When my great-aunt was pleased about her life, she used to shout out loud in Haitian Creole, "Bondye O! Ala bel bagay ou fe pou nou!" Which means, "Oh Lord! What beautiful things you have done for us!" That holds so very true for Charlie. So I say to you charlie. "Charlie O! Ala bel bagay ou fe pou nou! Mesi!" Keep doing your magic!

Charlie changed my life for the good [30 May 2004|03:42pm]

[ mood | rejuvenated ]

Before Charlie, life was hard and meaningless. When I first met Charlie he told me about how his life was changed by the crippling disease pancreatitis. It was a hard battle, but Charlie overcame this disease. After regaining his health, Charlie began eating healthier food such as fruts and vegtables. I just began the Charlie diet, and I already have a profound sense of energy. PRAISE BE TO CHARLIE!

My Story [30 May 2004|02:24pm]
It was in third grade on the play scape when I first saw Charlie. I was being cornered by bullies who were trying to steal my homemade cookies that my mom had pack in my lunch box that day. I was in panic when all of a sudden I looked to my left and saw this glowing creature running to rescue me. It was Charlie <333 He leaped on top of Billy Bully and told him to back off. I was expecting Charlie to attack Billy Bully, but now I understand why he did not. He is a non violent one. Ever since this incident he has been a part of me and always will be. I would marry him if I could.

Wow. Charlie. What an amazing creature this dog truly is. It took me a long time to embrace all that is Charlie Shaw, but now that I have I can truly say my life has changed for the better...and it's only been one night! So, are some Charlie stories from the past.

Well, when Charlie and I didn't get along so well, we got into a little fight. I was just trying to pet the creature, he was laying peacefully on the old couches, but he just didn't see my advances as good natured and kind hearted. He turned around at me, and somehow, just cut the bottom of my foot. The bite turned green and I basically shunned Charlie for a couple years.

Well, a couple weeks ago, Charlie and I had a bonding experience when everyone else was asleep. I woke up at the Shaws house a little early and came out to go on the computer. I sure do love going on the computer because that is sort of my life. Anyways, I was sitting on the couch and Charlie got on me and laid down! It was so cute, and from then on, I had a special place in my heart for Charlie! I never told Sadie or Dillon, because admitting my love for Charlie was probably one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. So, last night around 11:30 am, I went through the Secret-Charlie-Acceptance-Ritual. It was beautiful and I LOVE CHARLIE SHAW!!!!!

Welcome [30 May 2004|02:47am]

[ mood | grateful ]

I hope for this community to be a healthy place to discuss that which pertains to our Savior, Charlie. I invite all those who have any shred of love for Him, for He does not judge. You can post whatever you'd like, but there must be some connection to Charlie. Seeing as this is the first post of the community, I will take the liberty of explaining the Charlie Creation Story.

It was a moderately cold day in the fall, the leaves were browning, the wind was calm. I woke up before anyone else in the household and decided to fix myself a bowl of cereal (a rather difficult task for a four year-old measuring at about three feet). As I walked into the kitchen I noticed from the backyard a strange little being. Upon closer observation, I noticed that this being was indeed a dog. I cautiously approached it for verification, and upon realizing the truth of its nature I exclaimed, "A DOG!! WE HAVE A DOG!" Quickly I ran to my sister and woke her up.

"We have a dog Sadie! Sadie we have a dog! Come see!" I cried with such excitement.

The two of us went back to the kitchen and looked at the small dog with the three and three quarters spots.

"Let's let him in," I suggested. However, my sister was more weary of his motive. What if he only wanted to bite us? What if he only wanted to take advantage of our trust? Believing my sister was only being paranoid, I slowly opened the door.

In a dash the dog leaped inside through the gate and began barking at us franticly. My sister and I being startled ran from the dog. We ran into the living room, the dog ran into the living room, we went back to the kitchen and back to the living room, as did the dog. Suddenly we came up with the brilliant plan to hide in my room under my sheets. How could such a tiny dog possibly jump onto my bed? So we ran into the room and caged ourselves beneath my covers.

We panted for a few moments until we heard a large "ploof" sound on my bed. Soon a tiny little white and black snout poked itself underneath the covers. My sister and I screamed and jumped from our shelter. Being the brave one, I took my covers and trapped the little beast in our former refuge. We ran swiftly back to the kitchen, where we were met by the rest of the family and a family friend.

"A dog is trapped in my room!" we screamed. "He tried to attack us!"

It wasn't long before this tiny canine escaped from our trap and proceeded into the kitchen with the rest of the family.

My parents told us that he would be the new family dog. We had never had a dog before, so he would be the first.

One of us asked, "Well what is his name?"

"Charlie," my mom responded. "His name is Charlie."

And so came the creation of Charlie. Before him the world was a gloomy place to be, but fortunately he came to us to wipe away our tears and bring us joy. Charlie, I thank you for coming into my life.
